Chinese MMOs making a killing

This just in: The online games industry of China has finally broken the dominance of Western and Korean MMOs in its home turf—at least, according to the country’s vice director of national press and publications administration.

I won’t bore you with much details. I’ll just let this article I found tell you the story (don’t mind the grammar too much):

In the first International Cartoon Innovation Fair, currently being held in Hefei, China, Mr. Sun Shoushan declared that market share of domestic online games has surpassed 60 percent in the past two years.

The Chinese government has built online game and cartoon workbase in Peking, Shanghai, Guandong and Sichuan. The radiating and interactive effects among these workbases could further enhance the whole international competitiveness of Chinese Cartoon Industry.
