FlyFF Philippines launches Volcane Legends
Our friends in Level Up! Games, an online game publisher in the Philippines, has good news for FlyFFers—Fly For Fun Version 10, more popularly known as Volcane Legends, is now up and running.
Here’s a quick rundown from Mon Macutay, better known as the infamous GM Tristan:
Named after one of the new dungeons in the update, Volcane Legends features exciting new content and updates to Fly For Fun, including a Master Hero system, Ultimate Weapons, and of course the Volcane Dungeon.
“Volcane Legends has features which will surely be welcomed by our high-level FlyFFers. For starters, the Master Hero system allows them to reach the pinnacle of their classes. The journey to Level 120 is just the start since this new feature will enable them to open far more powerful skills and attributes available only to those who can complete the quest,” said Alvin “Wudie” Morales, brand manager for FlyFF Philippines.
What the hell is he talking about? Well, here’s the gist. Upon reaching Level 120, a character can “ascend” to a Master Class by completing a quest. When you finish this quest, your character is zapped by lightning that throws him back to the Dark Ages of Leveling (that’s Level 60, the start of the super grind in the game). What’s worse is your veteran newbie will only gain half the experience points normally gained from killing monsters.
But the rewards are worth it, the Level Up! guys assure. Among these many rewards are Ultimate Weapons.
“Upgrading to Ultimate Weapon is basically the same process with Unique Weapon conversion. But this time, you need to use a +10 Unique Weapon in order to create an Ultimate Weapon. To protect your +10 Unique Weapon, you will have to use a Scroll of SProtect (Super) to keep your weapon safe. Without the scroll, all your items disappear when the conversion fails. You can buy the scroll from the FlyFF Item Mall,” Morales explained.
Whew! Talk about hard. It gives me headaches just thinking about it, especially since my FlyFF character is just Level 60—without the Master status. I’m sure, however, that high-level avatars will enjoy a romp around Roika in their new digs and wielding their new weapons.

Or maybe, just maybe, you’re trying to download the client from a foreign publisher of Fly For Fun like gpotato. Well, that won’t work, for sure.
Try to download it from here.

Ah, there lies the problem. Almost all online game publishers in the Philippines are restricting foreign IPs from accessing not only the client downloads but also connection to the games themselves.
Fortunately, there are international versions of online games. For Fly For Fun, I suggest you try gpotato.
