Not another online dancing game!
The guys at Perfect World Co. Ltd. are at it again. This time, though, MMORPGs are not the focus but casual games. My only question is, why another online dance game?
Hot Dance Party is Perfect World’s new star. Although at the surface it may seem just like any other online dance game out in the market today, the top honchos of the China-based online game developer promises different features unique only to Hot Dance Party
For starters, avatars can be customized, a feature the company started with its hit MMORPG, Perfect World. The other features are, however, regular fare in some PC games, such as the marriage, child rearing and fashion system. Does The Sims 2 ring a bell?
Here’s an excerpt of the announcement:
As the very first casual game to be launched by Perfect World, Hot Dance Party is based on city life and incorporates many modern features, such as fashion, energy, and hip-hop to create a virtual stage for a super dancing star. Captivating choreography, fashion, costume design and customized character features are set to make gamers’ dreams come true.
Hot Dance Party also includes some major differentiating features, such as appearance personalization, personalized interior, pet raising, special choreography, marriage, child rearing, and dance club operating. Gamers will be able to design their own characters and fulfill their dreams of being a superstar in the game.
“Hot Dance Party is our first casual game and I believe it will help to significantly strengthen our product portfolio,” said Michael Chi, chairman and chief executive officer of Perfect World. “Furthermore, Hot Dance Party also assimilates a wide variety of musical and dance styles and related elements, which I believe demonstrates our commitment to providing interactive entertainment products that appeal to more gamers.”
The game, which I hope will stay away from cloning the features of other, already established online dance games, is now in closed beta testing phase.

sounds like a gud game… i do play perfect world too… but where can i download hot dance party client.. hope that it will be under my level too… tnx
