Dekaron: When, where, and how?
These are the questions that have been bothering me ever since the day I received word that a local online games publisher is coming out with Dekaron, more popularly known as 2Moons. The news that Digital Media Exchange has entered an agreement with GameHi Inc. to launch Dekaron in Southeast Asia is seared into my mind, but the excitement that has been building up in the past two months is slowly waning.
Let me clue in our friends up at dme and its game publishing arm, mobiusgames, on what we players want: Updates! Yes, updates. We want to know what’s happening up there because we care about our online games and our online games publishers.
In the past two months, all we’ve been hearing is this:
GameHi Inc., developer and publisher of Extreme Action MMORPG Dekaron in Korea, and Digital Media Exchange, has announced an agreement to launch most anticipated free-to-play MMORPG Dekaron in the Southeast Asian market.
Dekaron, one of the leading free-to-play based MMORPGs developed by GameHi in Korea, is scheduled to launch closed-beta and open-beta service within first half of this year in Southeast Asian market through the Philippines based publisher Digital Media Exchange.
Notice how repetitive the announcement is? It’s so repetitive that the same announcement gets published more often than what really matters to players.
But what if we read something new about Dekaron every week … even just once a week? Wouldn’t that fan the flames and fire up the loins of hundreds if not thousands of players?

Glad to see you getting excited about our new game, Dekaron.

I can’t give you any “official” updates yet because there’s this confidentiality thing they got me shackled with, but I suppose, after studying the legalities of it, I can blog about stuff as “unofficial” word, and “rumors”. Here’s something for you:
2Moons in the US is known for its ominous tagline “No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dying, no tears for the slain!”, but we want to break free from that so that there will be no confusing 2Moons with mobiusgames’ Dekaron for Southeast Asia. We will reveal (read: I will leak…) the new Dekaron battlecry soon. Also, there’s a “rumor” that recording the voices for the game is currently on-going, but don’t quote me on this. What voices, you ask? You’ll find out. Hehehe…
