I still can’t play RF Online

by Joel on June 23rd, 2008

It’s not that I don’t want to play, it’s just that I can’t. The installer I downloaded months ago, dubbed RF Online: Crimson Dawn gives me a flawed version of the game. How flawed? Well, let’s just say that after I click on the desktop shortcut, the launcher won’t, well, launch.

Too bad, really. I hear Level Up! Games, publisher of the game in the Philippines, has just opened a new server, Calix, and implemented some major changes in-game, including the wiping of inactive guilds and the patching of the gold dupe bug, among others, that caused havoc to RF Online’s economy.

It’s really funny that I forgot to ask for a new installer when I visited Level Up! three weeks ago. Time to look for a new downloadable installer. I want to check on my characters and probably start a new one on Calix. There’s a whole new world to explore!

Yeah, try downloading the game from the site’s website instead.

I have the same problem with Crazy Kart. I can only play at work and not at home. The client won’t run on my dsl connection. Waaah! *sniff*

Trouble is, I did download my installer from the RF Online website. Well, if the installer didn’t come from any LU site, the links to it are on Mon Macutay’s blog. :p
