FIFA Online 2 to star Chinese Football Team
I guess Chinese fans of FIFA Online have the 2008 Beijing Olympics to thank for the inclusion of Chinese football players in the localized version of FIFA Online 2. As an added treat, EA Sports has invited Lou Yichen, a famous game commentator in China, to provide the voice for the in-game commentator. Sweet.
FIFA Online 2 has just finished its closed beta test in China last February.
Here’s an excerpt from an interview with Chris Mogg, key producer of FIFA Online 2, with 17173:
What do you think needs improvement during this closed test?
First and foremost, we have fixed the major bugs detected in the test. In addition, we have optimized the Internet connection, so that the cam can run more smoothly in China. Also, we added a feature that shows the connection speed so players can choose their opponents based on their connection quality. As to the guide to new players, we’ve added more text help.As a developer, have you added any special content in FIFA Online 2 for Chinese players?
We have made some special amendments for Chinese players. We localized the game into Chinese, but the test and voice. To match the coming 2008 Beijing Olympics, we gained the official authorization to add the Chinese Football Team in the game. We will optimize the characters in the game based on the real Chinese players. AT last, we could even add in some famous football club in the game.
